How do I upload images to the site?
Follow the simple onscreen instructions to make your own private gallery. To upload your images it is recommended you create a gallery, this way you can easily store images and share with others. Uploaded images that are not saved in a gallery are removed from the site after a few days of inactivity.

Can I share images?
Yes, you can share images with friends in a safe private environment by inviting people via email to view them. Simply choose the share with a friend option in any of your galleries and follow the onscreen instructions. The invitee will be required to click on an email link, enter their email address and create a password. They will then be able to view your galleries.
If the invitee is already registered on the site, they will use their existing login and password once invited to gain access.

Can invitees share my images with others?
No, only the creator of the gallery has the right to share their images.

Do I have to register to use the site?
Pikcal users are required to register to upload images to a gallery and to save products for future editing. New users can register during the product creation process.

How many images can I upload?
The system allows for 50 images to be uploaded at one time. There are no limits to the number of images or galleries you may have in your account.

Is there a maximum image size?
The maximum size limit for one image is 5MB. This is more than sufficient to create all our products in their highest quality.

What if I am having trouble uploading photos?
The upload time per image varies and is dependent on your Internet Service Providers (ISP) upload speeds. Remember, many ISP's have a much slower upload speed than download speed. Our image servers support uploads up to 100/MB/sec which in most cases is more than 500 times the speed of an internet connection. This guarantee the fastest uploads to all users. Typically it can take +/- 1 minute per 1MB of upload on slower lines.

Uploading tips:
Avoid uploading large images over 5MB as these are unessessary unless you making large format prints such as a poster.

* The maximum image size allowed is 5MB. When uploading large images, minimize the browser window and work on something else while files are uploading.

* Organize your images into galleries or folders before uploading, this will help save time searching for an image later on.

* If the upload stops due to an intermittent internet connection, take note of what image was uploading in the dialog box, click X (cancel) and restart the upload process beginning with that image.

Why am I having trouble getting the pikcal site to work?
Pikcal.com does not support some old versions of Explorer. To update Explorer, go to Microsoft.com, on the lower right side of Microsoft’s home page you’ll see “POPULAR DOWNLOADS.” Click on Internet Explorer 8 and download.

How do I make a custom photo product?
Begin by selecting a product from the products list or click on the "my account" tab to view your saved projects. Follow the easy on screen instructions to choose the format, design, images and custom dates you would like in your product. Then begin designing!
When you are happy with the design click the "add to basket" icon in the top right corner of the screen and proceed to checkout. Once payment is made your product(s) will be fulfilled and sent to your shipping address within 5-7 working days.
All items in the shopping cart may be clicked on and edited later, so no need to worry about losing your design. To edit items, log in and access your shopping cart by clicking "Cart" in the upper menu on any page once logged in.

How do I add or select images for my products?
Either upload your own images or use images already on the site. To upload your own images, it is recommended that you create a gallery for storage and sharing purposes. To choose from professional photography, artwork and licensed content browse galleries by theme or use the search bar.

Can I save a project and come back later?
Yes, once logged in click on "my account" to view saved projects. To view saved images and/ or galleries click on "my piks."
